Long Live Cebu City Public Library!

The Cebu City Public Library has been helping and assisting people from different social strata here in Cebu since April 13, 1919 at its  first location in Parian, Cebu City.

The year 1938 saw the building of an elegant and proud edifice now known as The Cebu City Public Library located along Osmena Boulevard and it continues to stand strong and proud to date.

It has influenced innumerable lives and continues to do so at present and hopefully for more generations to come.

So many of those who passed through its corridors and has at one time or another held the books it provided have already become doctors, teachers, nurses, engineers, bankers, librarians, etc. and countless others have gone abroad to become OFW's or the "NEW HEROES OF THE PHILIPPINE ECONOMY" 

Indeed, the Cebu City Public Library has been faithfully fulfilling its mandate from whence it was born and will continue to do so for as long as there are students, and people wanting to better themselves inside its welcoming yet quiet corners.

It is an honor and a privilege to witness and support such an institution!
